After several years as a freelance consultant, Arron Moss founded Zero-1 to provide web-based design and development services. The company now has over 150 clients and continues to attract more from the local area and beyond with no significant marketing outlay. Many of these customers have full service e-commerce websites delivering both a cost-effective and flexible base. Arron has concentrated on ensuring his customers are highly visible on the web without the usual high search engine optimisation charges.

  Since starting the original business, Arron has added two further segments to the portfolio. The first, Fragrance Online, is a consignment stock web service for high street quality perfumes. This enjoys a very high profit to manual effort ratio due to the effectiveness of the order pipeline. The second, Divine Trash, managed by his partner Lucy Bradbury, provides both a street level presence in Buxton and a web-based shop selling directly-sourced European fashion.

  In the last 18 months, Zero 1 has engaged the services of Enterprising Accounts to provide mentoring, analysis and support to the business. By focusing on profit, the three companies are now enjoying significant growth and have the solid management and infrastructure to launch further ventures based on the current business models. Zero-1 has returned a solid year of profit and is on target to repeat this in the current year. The company has in place plans to grow its customer base both organically and externally whilst constantly monitoring its financial position to keep a firm hold on profit management.

  Arron Moss the company’s Managing Director business stature has significantly grown during this period building on his increased company financial understanding and focusing his attention on the company’s high quality output and management detail to deliver its targets.
